KALASH PEOPLE OF CHITRAL
The kalash are the indigenous people of Chitral in the KPK province of pakistan. It is the tourists choice no#1 when they plan to visit pakistan. They are inspired by their lifestyle which they find to be quite unique from the rest of the people living there. In fact they have restricted themselves from others to maintain their individuality.
This is a traditional headdress decorated with shells and beads. The shu'shut is a band worn by women on their heads in their everyday dress, with a long tail that falls on their back. It is elaborately decorated with shells, beads, chain and embroidery.
Kalash women very often wear these black robes embroidered with shells.beads and different colors of threads, bands and cloth patches.
The bunch of beads they are wearing is quite a unique trait regarding the contemporary traditional styles, these are mostly in three colours and with each passing year a chain of these is added that's why the old women have a more heavy bunch of chains.
This is a brief information about that tribe, people from around the world visit and enjoy a lot.
